TARGET 160316

WOODSTOCK

NOTE 1 to viewers: I have wanted to use this as a Target of the Week for a long time, but had doubts, simply because 1) this is such an attractor that I wasn't sure it would provide a challenge for anyone, and 2) there is no one single aspect to judge your results against, and 3) the official pictures of the event never really showed the true event.

But a recent finding of pictures taken by the participants, not by the officials or promoters has surfaced, and I've decided that this is just too good a target for remote viewers. So I'm giving it in the hopes that you have a great time viewing it and enjoy the experience of it, just like some half million attendees did, back in 1969.)

NOTE 2 to viewers: Because the event was so massive and complex, and because the feedback must provide for every level of remote viewing training and expertise, the feedback for it must also be massive and complex. So, as you check your results against this feedback, it is important to remember two things:
1) As a remote viewer, you are judged by the accuracy of what you got, not the by how much information you didn't get. No viewer ever gets everything about any target site. Therefore, look at your session and see if the perceptions you got are at the site. That is the way you are to judge your session on any complex target like this one.
2) Never forget that the purpose of a practice session is not to learn something about the target so much as it is to learn something about yourself. What types of information did you get? How accurate were you on each type? What attracted you the most about this target? If you learn something about yourself from this target, then it was a good session, no matter what the score.

So, where was the famous Woodstock Rock Concert held? Woodstock, New York, right? Wrong.

The original venue plan was Woodstock, New York. After local residents quickly shot down that idea, another possible location was identified in Saugerties, New York. Promoters found a farm owner named Max Yasgur who accepted $10,000 to let them have a "small" festival on his 300 acre property.

The actual site of the concert

Since the late change in venue occurred, festival organizers didn’t have enough time to prepare the site. Three days before the event, organizers laid out two options:

1) Complete the tall fencing and ticket booths they had planned, without which they were almost certain to lose every cent they had invested in the project.

2) Put their remaining available resources into building the stage. They knew that without the fencing and ticket booths, people would just walk on without paying, but it was too late. The concert had been planned, the entertainers had been paid ($166,325), the land had been rented ($10,000.00), and I have not been able to find the added costs for the security, setup & teardown, equipment, stage building, etc. But the final decision was made to just lose the money and make the admission to the concert free to the public.

They built it - and they came.

The word spread like wildfire, and audience began arriving by the tens of thousands a week before the actual date of the event,

Accomodations

Those who planned ahead brought their vans, busses, cars, or whatever they could find for sleeping and staking out a place for themselves. Those who didn't just had to make do. One thing for certain - nobody just gave up and went back home.

The world's largest rock concert - ever.

By the time the entertainment began at 5:07 PM on Friday, August 15, 1969, around 500,000 people had come to see what was also the historic largest gathering of the greatest rock entertainers in the world.

Facilities had not been planned for this many people.

Other than a few porta-potties, no real facilities had been planned ahead of time. There was also no food available until the opening day when scheduled vendors set up their booths. But a local creek provided a chance for people to stay more fresh smelling and clean.

And, yes, an untold number of children were conceived at Woodstock that weekend.

Marijuana and other drugs were everywhere, but security and police
were so overwhelmed that they didn't bother trying to control it.

And on Friday, in a cold downpour of rain that didn't stop anyone,
the performances began.

And Monday afternoon, when the concert was over, everyone had to find their way back home... by whatever means possible.
