Initially they used to smelt copper but in 1957 the plant started to work in the machine building sphere. Today they produce sand and soil pumps which are used in mining industry. They help to transport and enrich ore. p Production starts in the wood-working shop. p Making the mold. Wood turners are real professionals here. Out of five probationers only one is employed. p The second stage of production – sand mold preparation. p Delivering sand for molds of future pumps and coal to smelt metal. p 1500°C – at such temperature metal is smelted (for comparison – the temperature of the Sun surface is 6000°C). p Metal takes the form of the pump detail. This process demands much experience and physical strength. p The plant also produces iron casting with weight up to 5 tons (it’s a weight of a mature Indian elephant). p From the wood mold to the steel detail. Turners have to be very accurate. p Everything’s ready. Now the pump can be assembled and sent to extract ore… p Today the plant employs 573 people which is important for the whole city. In 2013 it will celebrate its 100th anniversary. p via egor-lavrentiev ???????? ?????? ??????.
