This amazing work is the latest in EVOL's 'Buildings' 
series, where he transforms walls or street furniture 
into minature buildings through stencils. The illusion 
is done so well that you have to look at these images 
several times to realize they are not real.

The location for this 'city' is a 10m X 8m hole in 
an abandoned warehouse floor; the concrete shapes 
are "probably the former foundation of a huge boiler 
plant to derive soap from rendered beef fat or other 
utilization of carcass. however, even 15 years 
after closing down, it still smells nauseous."

KUNSTCAMP 2012 – ab Juli 2012

Endlich hat es einen Namen: Das MS DOCKVILLE KUNSTCAMP 
wurde 2011 in seinem fünften Jahr als das betitelt, 
was es ist: ein Camp für KünstlerInnen und Kunst, ein 
mehrere Wochen andauernder Arbeits– und Lebensprozess, 
der mit Menschen verschiedenster Herkunft und Profession 
unterschiedliche Abschnitte durchläuft: Zu Beginn 
leben in relativ kleinem Kreise (ca. 30–60 Personen) 
KünstlerInnen, HandwerkerInnen und HelferInnen in einem 
auf dem MS Dockville-Gelände leer stehenden alten 
Laborgebäude zusammen und realisierten mit vereinten 
Kräften die vorab eingereichten Projekte. Es werden 
Kunstwerke auf, unter und über dem Boden installiert, 
Performance- und Bühnenräume gestaltet, um dann in 
ihnen zu proben und sie zu bespielen.
