Crossing a rickety bridge
While is this not a target that has suitable feedback for the more advanced students, when Mike Shinabery sent it to me, I couldn't resist making it a target of the week.
The bridge is in China. It appears to have long since become delapidated, but local residents still use it and, as you can see from the picture, it gets some heavy traffic at times.
Rather than doing something to fix the bridge up, local residents simply make their way across it as best they can, often balancing on one wire support while holding onto another.
I hope you aren't a viewer who is afraid of heights. Evidently, the local people who use the bridge aren't.
Many thanks to Mike Shinabery for providing this target. It is part of a series called "Lords of Logistic", which show the creativity of the Chinese people at using only what they have to get seemingly impossible things done. To see the rest of the series, click here.
